An International Photography Awards Winner is a Roman graduated in Biological Sciences at the University “La Sapienza” of Rome with a thesis in marine biology of the abyssal Mediterranean Sea.

At the beginning as a wildlife photographer, then, extending his professional prospects to travel and documentary photography. As a professional photographer who worked with a large number of journals and periodicals, Italian and international, including “Airone”, “Class”, “L’Espresso”, “National Geographic Italy”, “Traveller”, “Donna Moderna”, “Marie Claire”, “Il Venerdì di Repubblica”, and with many publishers, including De Vecchi, De Agostini, Giunti and Mondadori. Hundreds of his photos have been published around the world, on websites, magazines and books through the international agencies “Alamy.com” and Picture-Alliance.  He has also collaborated with several Italian public entities, including the Lazio Region, the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, the Friuli Museum of Natural History and the Italian Ministry of Environment.

Alongside the photographer has written and published a great number of articles on topic and not naturalistic, journals and periodicals, producing also the texts , as well as photos, volumes , translated into foreign languages , published by different publishers, including Edizioni Mondadori and Wild.

For years, he organizes courses in photography, film screenings and popular workshops, both in Italy and abroad. In his many travels he has focused on the documentation of ethnic groups and peoples who are threatened by progress and by particular political and social conditions, in recent years in Ethiopia, Kenya, India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, North Ireland, Burkina Faso and Lebanon.

He has made the long-term photographic project “In the Wild World of Writers,” for which he took with a “naturalistic ” attitude a large number of portraits of the most famous Italian narrators and storytellers. The project became an exhibition that opened in November 2013 to Palaexpo of Rome. It is soon to be exhibited in other major Italian and European locations, and enclosed in a book published by Palombi Editori.

In December, 2013, is the winner of  the award “Best Single Image in a Portfolio (Vanishing Cultures & Emerging) and of Portfolio (Monochromal) of “Travel Photographer Of The Year Awards 2013”.

He has contributes in July 2014 at Royal Photographic Society, International Print Exhibition157, in London and in others four locations in the UK.

Third place, “Professional” People Life Style category in Moscow International Foto Awards ’14.

In September 2015 he inaugurated the exhibition “Survivors of Modernity” at Palazzo Lanfranchi Museum in Matera. In December 2015 he inaugurated the exhibition “Terre, acqua e people of Pontinia “, at the Ex Torre Idrica area of ​​the MAP (Agro Pontino Museum) in Pontinia (LT).

In February 2022, Honorable Mention at the International Award of the documentary photography magazine Zeke, with the project “Burkina Faso. The Power of Resilience”.

In June 2022 Secondo Place “Professional” Editorial General News category in Moscow International Foto Awards ’22.
